Pre Stack Extreme is a pre workout supplement from Fitness Stacks. A popular product in the pre workout supplement space. Powered by 8 g L-Citrulline Malate 2:1, 4.4 g Beta-Alanine, 300 mg CDP Choline, 300 mg Caffeine, 200 mg DMHA, 150 mg Eria, and 1.5 mg Alpha Yo, this product is one of my favorites. It hits in all aspects of a what makes an excellent pre workout: energy, mood, and focus. The only area for improvement is the pumps.

I’ve gone through a full tub of Pre Stack Extreme, so I’m well-versed with this product. I’d recommend this for more adept users who’ve used pre workouts before. It’s not for beginners.

Read on for additional details of my experience, the best prices for the Pre Stack Extreme pre workout, and a breakdown of its ingredient label.

My Experience

I’ve taken Pre Stack Extreme over a dozen times, and it feels terrific every time I have tried it.

Effects

The main effects of this product are energy, mood, and focus.

Within 5 minutes, you feel the tingles (aka Paresthesia) from the Beta-Alanine, and at 4.4 grams with a digestive aid, they are pretty intense, about a 9 out of 10, so be ready to feel them. They last for a good 30-40 minutes.

Within 15 minutes, you feel a sense of energy, but it’s not intense; it feels good and smooth. Every time I’ve tried this, the energy has lasted me 4-6 hours.

With most pre-workouts, if they have ingredients for both focus and mood, they tend to go to one side of the spectrum or the other. With Pre Stack Extreme, it seems to bounce to both sides instead of staying put. It’s a very happy-go-lucky type of mood elevation.

Post-workout, once you no longer need to focus on working out, a substantial mood elevation came over me and felt incredible.

Pumps were okay; the mind-to-muscle connection was quite strong and made the pumps from just the 5.33 grams of pure L-Citrulline feel like much more than it was.

No adverse side effects or crashes were noted, including from the Alpha Yohimbine.

Flavor

I’ve tried Gummy Bear and Fruity Punch. The flavor is incredible; I’d have to give it a 9.5 out of 10. Both flavors I tried were quite sweet, but not overbearing-so. I noticed no chemical or bitter taste. Other flavors include Orange Mango and Cotton Candy.

Scoop Size:

With the Fruit Punch flavor, a whole serving is 15 grams, while the Gummy Bear flavor is 16.3 grams. The increased serving size is most likely due to flavoring, as the ingredient formulas are identical. As shown below, a whole serving is quite a heaping scoop.

Ingredients

Below you’ll find the ingredient label for Pre Stack Extreme Pre Workout, along with a breakdown of each individual ingredient.

Please note that the serving size differs by flavor. A full serving of Fruit Punch is 14.9 grams, while a full serving of Gummy Bear flavor is 16 grams.

The difference is caused by flavoring agents, not a difference in the amount of any active ingredients. Each flavor is equally effective.

Pre Stack Extreme Pre Workout Ingredient Label
Pre Stack Extreme Ingredient Label (Gummy Bear Flavor)

L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 – 8,000 mg

L-Citrulline DL-Malate, aka L-Citrulline Malate, is one of the most common pre workout ingredients. It has extensive evidence supporting its effects on increasing nitric oxide production, power output, pumps, blood flow, and endurance.

Usually, with L-Citrulline Malate, it has a 2:1 Ratio of Citrulline and Malic Acid (hence the Malate), and with Pre Stack Extreme, you are getting 5.33 g of pure L-Citrulline, which is 33% more than the effective dose of 4 g.

Beta Alanine – 4,400 mg

Beta-alanine has been shown to support muscular endurance and can act as a lactic acid buffer.

However, beta-alanine requires regular intake to be effective, akin to creatine. Daily supplementation of beta-alanine is recommended, with a loading period of three to five weeks needed to be effective.

3 to 4 grams is the recommended daily dosage for beta-alanine. Pre Stack Extreme exceeds this with the 4.4-gram dosage, and the tingles are intense in this product.

CDP Choline – 300 mg

CDP choline is a cognition enhancer, though its study has been limited.

300 mg is within the 250 mg to 500 mg range shown to increase attention in adult women and is likely an effective dose in Aventador pre workout.

Methylxanthine Anhydrous (Caffeine) – 300 mg per serving

Despite the name, it’s just caffeine, one of the most popular drugs in the world, if not the most popular.

Acute effects include energy, focus, enhanced sports performance, and possibly even a will to live. Okay, I added that last one.

The 300 mg included is right about the middle range that you’ll see in other pre workout supplements; 250 mg and 450 mg is the usual dose found in other pre workouts.

2-Amino-6-Methylheptane – 200 mg

2-Amino-6-Methylheptane, DMHA, Kigelia Africana, Juglans Regia (J. Regia), Octodrine, and Dimethylhexylamine. DMHA is a stimulant, similar to DMAA, known for boosting energy, focus, and mood.

200 mg is a pretty standard dose; however, just because it says something on the label doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll “feel” it. You will feel it here.

N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate – 150 mg

N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate, aka Eria Jarensis. Eria Jarensis is a stimulant that is commonly seen alongside DMHA in high stim pre workouts.

150 mg is a suitable dosage for this ingredient. Usual doses range from 150 mg to 500 mg, as found in Flame Pre Workout (which is terrific).

Higenamine – 25 mg

Thought to have similar mechanisms to ephedrine, Higemanine has seen its use as a fat burner, though this research is quite limited.

Examine says it is typically taken in 20 mg to 30 mg two to three times daily, so the 25 mg in Pre Stack Extreme is effective for one amount.

Rauwolscine – 1.5 mg

Alpha Yohimbine, also known as “alpha yo,” is a polarizing stimulant. Some individuals are particularly susceptible to alpha yohimbine and will always avoid any pre workout containing it.

Common adverse side effects could include anxiety, headaches, chills, sweating, frequent urination, excessive salivation, and increased blood pressure.

I didn’t get any adverse side effects, minus sweating, but the energy is given caused me to move more and thus sweat more.

1.5 mg is a good dose as those who are extra sensitive to Alpha Yo effects might be the only ones who’ll get those adverse side effects with this product.

Bioperine – 5 mg

Also known as black pepper extract, Bioperine is the trademarked version of the ingredient and increases the bioavailability of nutritional supplements. In other words, it helps your body absorb all the ingredients in the product. As the serving size increases, so does the need for a digestion aid like Bioperine. Doses usually range from 5 mg to 15 mg.

Huperzine-A – 300 mcg

Like CDP Choline, Huperzine A is cholinergic that acts as a cognitive enhancer. The occasional dose in other pre workouts tends to be 50 mcg to 200 mcg, so the quantity found in Pre Stack Extreme is over the clinical amount. As an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, It helps lengthen the half-life of cholinergic sources (such as Alpha GPC, Citicoline, CDP Choline) (Examine) and will keep your focus longer.
