CogniSurge by Jacked Factory is a low-stim powdered supplement filled to the brim with nootropics designed to improve focus and mental performance. Powered by 2 g L-Tyrosine, 1 g Lion’s Mane, and 300 mg Citicholine just to name a few, this formula is stacked.

With the low caffeine content (125 mg), it’s recommended for anyone who’d like an extra edge while gaming, studying, writing, or just about anything that requires more brain power.

Read on for additional details of my experience, the best prices for the CogniSurge nootropic, and a breakdown of its ingredient label.

Where to Buy Cognisurge

You can purchase Cognisurge directly from Jacked Factory.

My Experience

I’ve used over a full tub of this formula, and have used it for gaming, work, and where I needed the extra focus and it works every time.

You’d think with just 125 mg of caffeine, it wouldn’t be enough to sustain a few hours of studying or gaming, but it does. In fact, Cognisurge was selected as one of the best supplements for gaming.

Effects

Being a nootropic formula, the main aspects of this formula are focus and smooth energy. With 2 g L-Tyrosine, 1 g Lion’s Mane, 300 mg Citicholine, and 100 mg of the patented Neurofactor, the focus is on-point.

The 300 mg KSM-66 Ashwagandha and 125 mg L-Theanine combine to smooth out the energy  giving me a chill sense of well-being with no strong sense of urgency.

Even though it’s only 125 mg of caffeine, the energy lasted me a good 2-4 hours whilst studying, gaming, etc.

No noticeable side effects were noted. No crash, no stomach issues, no headaches occurred after any of my many uses.

Flavor

The flavor I have is Fruit Punch, and it’s pretty good especially for a Fruit Punch. It’s fairly sweeter than most Fruit Punches. It has a slight chalky-esque taste to it, most likely from the Lion’s Mane (as it is a mushroom). The old tub of Jacked Factory, with the same formula, came in Blueberry Lemonade, but I prefer the Fruit Punch more.

Scoop Size

The scoop size is 7.80 grams, and it’s almost a complete flat-level scoop, though just under, which is a huge plus. You should be able to use the scooper to easily gauge a proper serving size.

Cognisurge Ingredients

Below you’ll find the fully disclosed ingredient label for Cognisurge along with a breakdown of each ingredient and dosage.

Cognisurge Ingredients Label

L-Tyrosine – 2,000 mg

L-Tyrosine helps “smooth out” some of the harsher effects of stimulants and increase focus. Some limited research also shows it can act as a cognitive booster in stressful environments.

2 grams is a very solid dosage and lands within the range recommended for use in an exercise setting (source).

Organic Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder – 1,000 mg

Lion’s Mane are a type of mushroom, also known as yamabushitake or hou tou gu.

They have a wide range of potential benefits, including reduction of anxiety and cognitive decline.

Unfortunately, there has only been one human study completed so far. As this study used a daily dosage of 3,000 mg of Lion’s Mane split into three doses throughout the day, there is limited understanding of what constitutes an optimal dosage.

Anecdotally, this is a pretty solid dose (depending upon the quality and purity of the ingredient source) at least in comparison to other products on the market with Lion’s Mane.

Cognizin Citicholine – 300 mg

The patented form of Citicholine. Citicoline is the name for cytidine 5′-diphosphocholine (CDP-choline) when this is used as an exogenous sodium salt. Citicoline has emerged as a valid treatment for patients with chronic cerebrovascular disorders or with memory problems (as per this study). In similar products, dose ranges from 200-500 mg, putting the 300 mg in CogniSurge roughly in the middle.

Organic Ashwagandha Powder (KSM-66) – 300 mg

KSM-66 is a patented form of ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is a herb native to Northern Africa and India that’s been in use as a medicine for thousands of years.

According to research meta analysis performed by Examine, ashwagandha has consistently shown to notably reduce anxiety and cortisol, the stress hormone. It has also shown to consistently produce a notable increase in power output. Nice.

The clinical dosage of ashwagandha is 300-500 mg, so the 300 mg included in each serving of CogniSurge is just enough to get the effects.

And because they’re using KSM-66, you know it’s a high quality ingredient.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 125 mg

Caffeine anhydrous is the typical form of caffeine, well known for increasing energy, power, and focus.

For most nootropic formulas, 125 mg is definitely on the lower end, which will usually range from 150 mg to 350 mg.

For some, this dose might be too little, but it does exactly what it needs to do to give you the focus.

L-Theanine – 125 mg

L-Theanine is a somewhat sedative amino acid, noted for promoting relaxation and taking the edge off of caffeine to prevent a crash.

125 mg is a decent dosage of L-Theanine and should be enough to realize some of the synergistic effects it has with caffeine.

Methylliberine (as Dynamine 40%) – 100 mg  (yielding 40 mg of pure Dynamine).

Dynamine combines nicely with caffeine to enhance mood, focus, and energy. Unlike caffeine, Dynamine does not have an adverse effect on heart rate or blood pressure (from the NIH). Per the study, the doses were between 100 and 150 mg per serving, putting the 40 mg under half the minimum dosage.

Neurofactor Whole Coffee Fruit Extract – 100 mg

NeuroFactor Whole Coffee Fruit Concentrate is a patented product from the whole fruit of the coffee plant, Coffea arabica. In a study, one dose of 100 mg of WCFC increased serum BDNF by 54% and exosomal BDNF by 206%. BDNF, Brain Derived Nootropic Factor is important for learning, memory, alertness, mood, controlling body weight, and controlling energy metabolism (Scientific Research Open Access). With 100 mg per serving, it meets the clinical dosage perfectly.

Huperzine-A – 50 mcg

Like Citicholine, Huperzine A is a cholinergic that acts as a cognitive enhancer. It tends to be taken in doses of 50 mcg to 200 mcg, so the dose found in CogniSurge just hits the efficacious dose. As an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, It helps lengthen the half-life of cholinergic sources (Examine).
