Gorilla Mode or Gorilla Mode Nitric? If you’re asking this question, then you’re probably struggling to choose between these two popular pre-workout supplements.

Both are excellent pre-workouts produced by Gorilla Mind, but Gorilla Mode Nitric Pre-Workout takes the cake as a powerful pre-workout supplement and nitric booster.

Find out why in our pre-workout review – here, we cover everything you need to know about these two powerful pre-workout supplements from Gorilla Mind.

Personally, I prefer Wrecked as an alternative to Gorilla Mode and Pump Serum as an alternative to Gorilla Mode Nitric. Both Gorilla Mode pre’s are still solid supplements though.

The main difference between these two pre-workout supplements is that Gorilla Mode Nitric is a stim-free pre-workout. Gorilla Mode Nitric also packs slightly more ingredients and a more potent dosage than the regular Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout.

While both pre-workout supplements have similar formulas, Gorilla Mode Nitric kicks it up a notch with 10% more L-Citrulline, 30% more Glycerpump and 50% more Betaine and Agmatine.

Which pre-workout is better overall?

Gorilla Mode Nitric Pre-Workout is the better pre-workout overall. It delivers significantly more as a nitric oxide product with slightly more ingredients and a stronger dosage.

Which pre-workout is better for energy?

Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout is better for energy as it contains caffeine, while Gorilla Mode Nitric does not.

Which pre-workout is better for pumps?

While both pre-workouts are great for pumps, Gorilla Mode Nitric is the better pre-workout as it doubles up on its pump ingredients.

Which pre-workout is better for beginners?

Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout has been a popular choice amongst fitness enthusiasts for some time – and for good reason. This pre-workout packs a solid formula, with 9 g of L-citrulline, 5 g of creatine monohydrate, 3 g of Glycer Pump, 2.5 g of Betaine and 1 g of Agmatine. All these ingredients are what help pump blood and hydration to your muscles.

Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout also packs a punch in the energy and focus category, using 350 mg of caffeine and 350 mg of N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate. It also significantly wards off fatigue and boosts your endurance thanks to the 3,000 mg of Malic Acid.

While positioned as a “super-premium” product, Gorilla Mode is generally considered not to hit all that hard. More advanced users would likely enjoy something like Ryse Godzilla or Hooligan.

That said, Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout is a good starting point pre-workout that is significantly better-dosed than other popular pre-workouts like C4, Mr Hyde, Total War, etc.

Pros:

  • Great doses of pump ingredients
  • Reasonable amount of caffeine, plus 350 mg of Eria Jarensis
  • All ingredients are clinically dosed
  • Works well for beginners at one scoop

Cons:

  • Doesn’t hit hard enough for those seeking a high-stim experience
  • Only 20 servings
  • No beta-alanine (some may prefer this)

Gorilla Mode Nitric Pre-Workout Overview

Gorilla Mode Nitric is a stacked stim-free pre-workout with a heavy-hitting formula that claims to improve your performance from multiple angles while maintaining top-end dosages across various pathways.

First, this pre-workout supplement packs an almost unheard-of dose of 10,000 mg of L-citrulline in a two-scoop serving. Gorilla Mode Nitric combines this with a massive dose of Nitrosigine – a combination that has been shown to promote nitric oxide production and enhance blood flow and vascularity.

Second, it doubles up on its ingredients compared to the regular Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout, offering a far higher dose for the same scoop amount.

You also get other ingredients in Gorilla Mode Nitric not found in regular Gorilla Mode, including 480 mg of electrolytes for better hydration and 254 mg of VasoDrive-AP for more nitric oxide production.

Pros:

  • High pump profile with over a gram of nitrates
  • Solid increase in muscle strength, vascularity and endurance
  • All ingredients are clinically dosed
  • Higher dose for the same scoop amount as Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout

Cons:

  • Contains no caffeine or other stimulants (some may prefer this)
  • Slightly more expensive

Conclusion

Despite Gorilla Mode Nitric being the more expensive pre-workout, the slightly stronger dosage of key ingredients and extra ones found in it makes it the superior pre-workout.

Use Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout if:

  • You have a tighter budget
  • You want greater energy and endurance at the gym
  • You want to enhance your mental focus

Use Gorilla Mode Nitric Pre-Workout if:

  • You want a stimulant-free pre-workout that’s also a legal non-hormonal pre-workout
  • You want to improve your nutrient-carrying capacity
  • You want greater levels of muscular endurance
