Pumpaholic is a pure pump product supplement from Freedom Formulations. Utilizing 5 g Citrulline Malate 2:1, 1 g Agmatine Sulfate, 500 mg Beet Root Powder, and 150 mg Norvaline, Pumpaholic promises Crazy Pumps and Extreme Vascularity. Unfortunately, the pumps are lacking.
I would recommend this for someone looking to stack this with a pre-workout to get some extra pumps. However, that’s pretty much the only scenario I could see it being used, as the pumps are deficient.
Read on for additional details of my experience, the best prices for the Pumpaholic pure pump product, and a breakdown of its ingredient label.
Pumpaholic by Freedom Formulations advertises itself as a pure pump product with no frills, just pumps. Sadly, Pumpaholic doesn’t deliver on pumps. If this pump formula were part of a stim-junkie pre-workout formula, it’d be alright, but it didn't cut it for a pure pump formula.

My Experience
I took Pumpaholic six different times. I took it twice by itself, twice with a pre-workout powder, and twice with a pill-based fat burner, just to ensure I was getting the actual image of Pumpaholic’s effects.
After all those times of trying it, the pumps were lacking. With it being advertised as a pure pump formula, the pumps should be better.
Effects
As Pumpaholic is a pure pump formula, the effects are supposed to be pumps. However, the pumps are lacking. Pumpaholic is not one of those pump formulas that you can just do a few sets of pushups or bicep curls to see a swollen-type look. To get a swollen-type look, I had to concentrate on the contraction of every movement to notice a difference.
No adverse effects were noted.
Flavor
I tried the Pina Colada flavor. I’m not a fan of pina colada but it was quite good. It was not too sweet and a tad chalky. Overall, I’d rate it an 8.5 out of 10.
Other flavors include Fruit Punch and an unflavored option to stack with other products without a “Jungle Juice” flavor.
Scoop Size
A whole serving is one scoop of 11 grams, which comes out to a rounded scoop. A flat scoop, for context, is roughly 8.7-grams.
Ingredients
Sodium (as Sodium Chloride) – 100 mg
Sodium can assist with several functions while working out, including delivering massive pumps and increasing creatine uptake in muscles.
L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 – 5,000 mg
L-Citrulline Malate is one of the most common pre-workout ingredients. It has extensive evidence supporting its ability to increase nitric oxide production, power output, pumps, blood flow, and endurance.
Usually, with L-Citrulline Malate, it has a 2:1 Ratio of Citrulline and Malic Acid (hence the Malate). The effective dose is 4 g pure L-Citrulline, which at 3.33-grams, Pumpaholic is inadequate.
Taurine – 1,000 mg
Taurine is a “miscellaneous” pre-workout ingredient with many potential, albeit limited, physical benefits. It can aid in blood flow, reduce cramping, and act as a booster to antioxidant defense systems (Examine). It’s a pretty insignificant ingredient in pre-workout compared to other components but it doesn’t hurt anything.
One gram is a decent dosage of taurine to achieve any effects it has to offer. Usually, other products have 500 mg to 2 grams.
Agmatine Sulfate – 1,000 mg
Agmatine sulfate assists endothelial NO synthase (eNOS), which signals vasodilation.
You usually want to see at least 1 gram, and that’s what you’ll get in Pumpaholic.
Beet Root Powder – 500 mg
Beetroot powder is a natural source of betaine that helps improve cardiovascular capacity and endurance. 1 g is a typical serving amount, so 500 mg seems to fall short at half the dose.
L-Norvaline – 150 mg
L-Norvaline is a unique amino acid and a form of the BCAA valine. It is an arginase inhibitor, which helps prevent the breakdown of arginine in the body. This makes the nitric oxide production of citrulline more effective.
Some sources suggest that a standard dose of L-norvaline is between 100 mg and 200 mg, or even up to 400 mg, but I am not sure how well supported this claim is (Source). At 150 mg, it’s within the typical dose you’d see in other pre-workouts.
