Hyper Sleep is a sleep aid supplement manufactured by Repp Sports. Repp Sports are also known for its popular energy drink, Raze.
Iād recommend Hyper Sleep to those looking for a supplement to help them fall asleep faster and stay asleep. I also recommend starting with 1/2 a dose to gauge how it impacts your wakefulness in the morning.
Below youāll find my detailed experience along with a full ingredient label breakdown.
Hyper Sleep is a mood-relaxing, sleep-inducing sleep formula. Powered by 500 mg L-Theanine and 5 mg Melatonin. Recommended for those who have tried sleep formulas before and havenāt created a tolerance to melatonin.

My Experience with Hyper Sleep
Iāve taken Hyper Sleep quite a few times and it has worked every time Iāve taken it.
Effects
Iāve taken Hyper Sleep about a dozen times over the course of a month or so, when I know I need to get some sleep.
The effects are calming and I just sort of drifted to sleep over the course of about 30-45 minutes.
It doesnāt knock you out instantly, just sets in gradual effects of feeling calmed and fatigued.
When I wake up, I feel rested and still relaxed. Unless something major happens, I sleep throughout the night and Iām a fairly light sleeper.
Flavor
The flavors Iāve tried are Sour Gummy Worms and Cinnamon Swirl. Youāve gotta use about 4-6 ounces of water, or else the flavor is barely there, and thatās very surprising because Repp Sports is usually on-point with their flavors. Sour Gummy Worms is fairly good, but not very strong. Cinnamon Swirl surprised me, because it actually tasted like a watered down liquid cinnamon roll. I only had samples of the Cinnamon Swirl flavor but always wanted to try to use warm milk with it as I thought that it would taste great. It also comes in Vanilla Soft Serve, so Repp Sports seems to be going with a protein-flavor for Hyper Sleep.
Scoop Size
The scoop size is 7.1 grams, which is about 85% or so of a full scoop.
Hyper Sleep Ingredients
Magnesium Aspartate ā 450 mg
Magnesium commonly combined with zinc in recovery supplements, commonly referred to as ZMA. Magnesium can help lengthen stage 3 and stage 4 slow-wave sleep, which is crucial for the release of growth hormones.
Fortunately, the 450 mg of magnesium aspartate included in a serving of Hyper Sleep is right in the middle of the dose that is typically used in clinical studies of ZMA (400 mg to 500 mg).
Zinc Aspartate – 30 mg
Supplementing with zinc can help boost testosterone production in individuals who are already zinc deficient. The 30 mg of zinc included in each serving of Hyper Sleep is the normal dose in ZMA, which is about 30 mg.Ā
GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) – 1,000 mg
GABA is a neurotransmitter that is critical for the regulation of depressive and sedative actions in the brain as well as general relaxation. It also can enhance the metabolism of growth hormone.
GABA is also included in some pre workouts like Dark Energy to help take the āedgeā off of higher stimulant doses.
Large amounts of GABA can cause a shortness of breath feeling, but you donāt feel much of it in Hyper Sleep.
1 gram is roughly ā of the minimum dose with anecdotal dosage accounts.
L-Glycine – 1,000 mg
Glycine is one of three amino acids that your body uses to make glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your cells against oxidative damage caused by free radicals, which are thought to underlie many diseases.
As per this study it has been linked to help improve the quality of sleep. Though this study shows that you need about 3,000 mg per serving.
L-Theanine – 500 mg
L-Theanine is a somewhat sedative amino acid, noted for promoting relaxation and pairing well with caffeine.
500 mg is within the recommended range for sleep aids.
Mucuna Pruriens Extract – 100 mg
Also known as Velvet Bean, mucuna pruriens extract is a traditional herbal supplement with minor dopamine increasing and cortisol reducing effects, among other things.
One of the more reliable effects it has is a noticeable reduction in Parkinsonās Disease symptoms, though that is not relevant here.
Iām not sure if the dosage included here, 100 mg, is sufficient for stress reduction, though to be honest those effects are quite minor anyway. By comparison, Hibernate contains 250 mg of mucuna pruriens extract.
Melatonin – 5 mg
Melatonin is a hormone that is naturally produced in the body in order to help induce sleep.
Melatonin is released in response to darkness and is suppressed by light. As the sun goes down and darkness increases, the pineal gland begins to secrete melatonin, which usually happens after 9 p.m. The increased levels of melatonin in the blood send signals to the brain to become less alert and you feel sleepy.
Melatonin secretion peaks in the middle of the night (between 2 and 4 in the morning) and decreases gradually during the second half of the night. Nearly 80 percent of melatonin is synthesized at night (Medicine Net)
5 mg is a rather large dosage of melatonin, which usually ranges between 1-3 mg.
