Program Overview
All three programs run in three week cycles. The main difference is how many times you’ll be testing your various maxes throughout each cycle. The early novice program has the most tests, while the early intermediate program has one test per cycle. This makes sense, as intermediate lifters progress more slowly than novice lifters and therefore do not need to test as frequently.
How to Use the Spreadsheets (Video)
Garrett was generous enough to provide two videos showing how the programs work AND how to use the spreadsheets.
Please watch the videos to understand how it all works, as the programs are a bit complicated (in a good way).
Theory & Rationale Behind the Programs (Video)
These videos explain the structure of the powerlifting programs and why those choices were made. Definitely check this out to have a better understanding of why you’re training a certain way, which is a valuable thing to help expand your training knowledge for the future.
