Moments after consumption, I felt slight tingles throughout my body and dial up in my ears. After 20 minutes, the feelings continued to cross all over my shoulders, across my chest, and along my back. During the same time, I started to feel a body temperature increase due to the GBB. At 30 minutes, the tingly sensation increased to a higher intensity around a 7 out of 10. This motivated me to cardio or plow through my warm-up sets.
When lifting weights or performing HITT (high-intensity interval training), I felt the tingle sensations spark on and off as the thermogenic effects continued to work up a sweat. Smooth energy, good focus, great endurance, and stamina, plus complete muscle fullness, is what I experienced with each use for this pre-workout.
I have reviewed countless heavy-hitting high stimulants this year, and it is refreshing when a lower dose of caffeine daily driver can stand to perform similarly, if not better. I was impressed with my performance during this review, which was consistent and productive. The energy lasted several hours later, although it did not impede my after-training activities.
I didn’t experience any effects that were negative while using this product.
“Green Apple Candy” was the flavor I was sent for review. It had an excellent, tasty flavor, smooth with minimum lion’s mane taste. Flavor ratings are subjective and don’t impact the product’s rating, but I hope to help gauge how sour a flavor might be. The flavor desirability was about 8/10. The suggested amount of water was 6-12 ounces, but less was more for me. I enjoyed around 10 ounces of water.
The serving size is 13.39 grams for a whole serving, which is a large rounded scoop. The glycerol causes clumps, which makes it harder to make a rounded scoop. I occasionally shake my supplements before using them, especially the first time.
Since this is an everyday, stimulant-based product, you should be fine not weighing, but still assess your tolerance. I used a whole serving each use, which hit precisely how I needed it and adequately for this product review. We have a great 25 servings, above the industry standard and a value based on the effectiveness and price on the market. The mixability was good, with a small amount of sediment toward the end of the shaker.
This label is an exciting take on the daily driver pre-workout formulation without illicit stimulants. They could do better on the dosages below, but it hit very well on effectiveness. I suggest gradually bumping the alpha GPC to 600 and theobromine to 200 mg.
Sodium – 36 mg
Salt helps retain water, enabling you to achieve fuller muscle bellies during your workout. This can help prevent muscle spasms and allow for a good contraction.

Beta-Alanine – 3.2 g
Beta-alanine has been shown to support muscular endurance and act as a lactic acid buffer. Depending on the source of this ingredient, you may feel the paresthesias tingling effect. This feeling is often desirable in the sports community, as it makes you feel the intensity after ingestion. This may be negated by diet and intake of beta-alanine.
Beta-alanine requires regular intake to be effective, akin to creatine. Daily beta-alanine supplementation is recommended to become effective, with a three to five-week loading period. Three to four grams is the recommended daily dosage for beta-alanine, putting face/off in the standard clinical dose range. When you consume beta-alanine, it combines with another amino acid called histidine to form carnosine.
Carnosine is found in high muscle concentrations and is a buffer against lactic acid buildup during intense exercise. This buffering effect can delay the onset of muscle fatigue and improve exercise capacity. By increasing carnosine levels in muscles, beta-alanine helps reduce the accumulation of hydrogen ions, contributing to muscle acidity and fatigue. This allows athletes to perform at a high intensity slightly longer before experiencing fatigue.
It is not abundantly found in typical dietary sources, so it’s challenging to obtain the required amounts solely through diet. However, it is naturally present in small quantities of animal products like meat and fish.
GlycerSize (65%) – 3 g
Glycerol provides enhanced performance, increased muscular pumps, and supports proper hydration levels. Most pump products work by increasing Nitric Oxide (NO) production, which then leads to increased vasodilation. Glycerol increases vascularity and pumps via raising the osmotic pressure within bodily fluids, which supports water movement throughout the body.
From PubMed, the hyperhydration effect of glycerol can be used to fight off heat exhaustion. 3-5 grams should be noticeable for pumps, putting this in the lower range for powder-based glycerol.
Taurine – 1 g
Taurine is a common ingredient with many positive effects, such as enhanced physical performance, improved DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), improved blood pressure via higher cardiac output, possible reduction of cholesterol and triglyceride levels, increased uptake of glycogen to mitochondria for energy utilization (Examine).
Taurine supplementation might block beta-alanine uptake as they are antagonistic, which wouldn’t be an issue if used aside from pre-workout. It is not commonly known that beta-alanine/carnosine is a taurine-depleting antagonist (Examine). A one-gram taurine dose is fair (one to six grams daily in studies); however, more would amplify the benefits.
L-Tyrosine – 1 g
L-tyrosine boosts cognitive performance in stressful environments. Pre-workouts include it as a focus ingredient and help achieve anti-stress effects. The typical dosage range is 500 mg to 2,000 mg for exercise, where the one gram we have here is a good, efficient dose.
L-tyrosine is a naturally occurring amino acid and a precursor to several important neurotransmitters and hormones in the body. It plays a significant role in producing dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, which regulate mood, stress response, physical performance, and cognitive function.
Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Hericium Erinaceus) – 500 mg
Lion’s Mane (yamabushitake) is a relatively new nootropic, with some research supporting anti-anxiety, cognition boosting, and general well-being effects.
According to Examine, only a single human study has involved lion’s mane. The individuals orally consumed one gram three times a day. While that dosage appeared effective, it is unknown if this is optimal.
Ravage contains 500 mg of lion’s mane, but there isn’t enough research to determine whether this is effective. Additional research is needed to confirm lion’s mane’s benefits and optimal dosage.
Caffeine Anhydrous – 325 mg
Caffeine anhydrous is the standard form of caffeine, known for increasing energy, alertness, motivation, and mood. The caffeine content varies for each product. The 350-450 range is the typical dosage for sports supplements, and some products may contain other forms or stimulants, such as below.
Less is more, as your dependency will lead to diminishing returns as you increase your intake. The overall combination of many factors, such as sleep, when you take caffeine, diet, and nutrition, affect how much you will need.
L-alpha-Glycerylphosphorylcholine (Alpha GPC) – 300 mg
Alpha GPC is a cholinergic compound that is produced within the body. It is used for enhancing cognition and increasing power output. Based on several studies, Alpha GPC dosages should be between 300 and 600 mg. At 300 mg, this is on the low end but an efficient dosage.
Some key benefits include choline source, cognitive enhancement, acetylcholine precursor, neuroprotective properties, and athletic performance.
When alpha-gpc is combined with other nootropic compounds, it can enhance the cognitive effects. Common combinations include racetams (like piracetam) and other brain-boosting supplements.
Theobromine – 100 mg
Theobromine is a “caffeine light” stimulant ingredient found in chocolate, some tea plants, and the kola nut. Its name means “Food of the Gods.” Greek “theo” means gods, and “broma” means food.
Some anecdotal evidence suggests that theobromine can affect mood elevation, focus, and stimulation. Most doses range from 100 to 400 mg, leaving this on the low end. It is a bitter alkaloid compound naturally found in various plants, most notably in cocoa beans used to make chocolate products. On average, a 50 g piece of dark chocolate could contain 378 mg of theobromine. It is a chemical relative of caffeine and is classified as a xanthine alkaloid.
It is known for its stimulant effects, although its impact is generally milder than caffeine. It stimulates the central nervous system and has diuretic effects, which means it can increase urine production. It also relaxes smooth muscles, which can lead to bronchodilation and relaxation of blood vessels.
Theobromine has been studied for its potential health benefits. Some research suggests that it positively affects cardiovascular health by improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure. It has also been explored for its potential role in cognitive function and mood enhancement.
Pink Himalayan Salt – 100 mg
Pink Himalayan salt helps retain water, enabling you to achieve fuller muscle bellies during your workout. This can help prevent muscle spasms and allow for good contraction.
100 mg is a low dosage for this ingredient; however, it is diet-dependent as not everyone will need higher amounts (for comparison, FSU Dyehard has 300 mg, and Hooligan Bare Knuckle has 250 mg).
Dendrobium (Dendrobium Nobile 10:1) – 75 mg
Some claims have been that dendrobium extracts can contain phenylethylamines (PEAs), a stimulant with effects similar to amphetamines. Synephrine HCL – 35 mg
Synephrine, or isopropylnorsynephrine, is a well-researched ingredient shown to aid in weight loss. It is a common ingredient in many reputable weight loss supplements. It may also appear on ingredient labels as bitter orange extract. You may also see iso-norsynephrine, which is also a lipolytic agent and is generally considered to be a more robust version of synephrine.
“In general, bitter orange extract alone (p-synephrine) or in combination with other herbal ingredients did not produce significant adverse events as an increase in heart rate or blood pressure or alter electrocardiographic data, serum chemistry, blood cell counts or urinalysis. p-Synephrine alone and in combination products were shown to increase resting metabolic rate and energy expenditure, and modest increases in weight loss were observed with bitter orange extract/p-synephrine-containing products when given for six to 12 weeks.” Synephrine Meta-Analysis
Synephrine also increases energy and controls appetite. A standard dosage for this ingredient would be around 50mg, which needs to be included here with a slightly sub-efficient dosage.
GBB (Gamma-butyrobetaine Ethyl Ester Chloride) – 25 mg
Gamma-butyrobetaine ethyl ester chloride (GBB) is a molecule converted to carnitine in the body. This process can support fat loss, increase vasodilation, and increase body temperature. Huperzine A – 10 mg
Huperzine A is cholinergic and acts as a cognitive enhancer. As an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, it helps lengthen the half-life of cholinergic sources. Depending on the extract percentage, it is taken in 50 to 200 mcg dosages. This label states 10 mg, not mcg, but it would be a massive dosage at the former.
Huperzine A is a naturally occurring alkaloid compound derived from a Chinese club moss plant (Huperzia serrata). It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries and is known for its potential cognitive-enhancing properties. Some additional benefits include cognitive enhancers, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, nootropic, and smart drugs.

The performance was awe-inspiring, and I will finish off this container. I enjoyed the times I ran this product, as the effectiveness was consistent and potent. I recommend anyone to try this pre-workout out, even beginners, but certainly anyone looking to keep their stimulant tolerance down.
