Hybrid is a pre-workout supplement from Kilo Labs. Fueled by a potent label of 3.2 g Beta-Alanine, 3 g Betaine, 2 g HydroPrime (™), 400 mg Caffeine, 200 mg DMHA, and 100 mg Eria Jarensis, Hybrid provides the energy, focus, mood, and pumps for an intense workout.
Due to the stimulants, I would only recommend this product for advanced pre-workout users.

My Experience
I tried Hybrid just once for an upper body session. It gave me the energy, focus, mood, and pumps needed for 3.5 hours, 125 total sets, and 97 working sets.
Effects
Hybrid provides energy, pumps, focus, and mood elevation.
In less than 4 minutes, the beta-alanine tingles began. They were subtle and lasted about 15 minutes. Even though they were not as intense as I had expected, I’d rate it a 6.5 out of 10.
Within 10 minutes, I felt a sudden rush of energy; it started mildly and escalated with each passing minute. The energy lasted throughout my workout plus several hours afterward. It was generated over 4 hours of consistent, smooth energy.
Shortly after the energy began, the focus and mood elevation started. Beginning as a tunnel-vision type focus, the focus and mood would switch depending on the music I was listening to or the exercise I was doing.
No adverse side effects were noted. I experienced no crash, uncomfortable feelings, or over-stimulation.
Flavor
I tried the “Main Squeeze” flavor, which is a lemonade-type flavor. When it comes to powders, typically, my least favorite is cotton candy and lemonade flavors. That being said, this is a delicious and refreshing lemonade flavor. It was not overly sour or sweet, very refreshing. Out of 10, I’d give it a 9—no chemical or bitter taste.
“Melonaire” is the other available flavor, which is a Green Apple/Watermelon type flavor.
Scoop Size
A whole serving is 14.46-grams, which comes out to a pretty rounded scoop. Due to clumping, two rounded scoops may not be of the same gram size.
Ingredients
Caffeine Anhydrous – 400 mg
Caffeine needs no introduction, but it’s one of the most researched sports supplements. Most fat burners will range between 175 mg (as with the great M2) and 600 mg (as with the smoothest Hooligan). Typically, pre-workouts range from 250 to 450 mg, putting Hybrid on the upper end of the range.
2-aminoisoheptane – 200 mg
2-Aminoisoheptane, DMHA, Kigelia Africana, Juglans Regia (J. Regia), Octodrine, and Dimethylhexylamine. DMHA is a stimulant, similar to DMAA, for boosting energy, focus, and mood.
200 mg is a standard dose; however, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll “feel” it because it says something on the label, but I felt it here.
Theobromine – 150 mg
Theobromine is a “caffeine light” stimulant found in chocolate, some tea plants, and the Kola Nut. Its name means “Food of the Gods.” Greek “theo” means gods, and “broma” translates to food. As anyone with a sugar craving, you can understand why.
Some anecdotal evidence suggests mood elevation, focus, and stimulation.
Most doses range from 100 mg-400 mg, so Hybrid is on the lower end.
N-Phenethyl Dimethylan – 100 mg
This might be a typo, but I believe Kilo Labs is trying to say, “N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate.”
N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine Citrate, aka Eria Jarensis. Eria Jarensis is a stimulant commonly seen alongside DMHA in high stim pre-workouts.
100 mg is on the lower end of the range for the dose of this ingredient. Usual amounts range from 150 mg to 500 mg, as found in Flame Pre Workout (which is terrific).
Citrulline Malate – 4,000 mg
L-Citrulline Malate is one of the most common pre-workout ingredients. There is extensive evidence supporting its ability to increase nitric oxide production, power output, pumps, blood flow, and endurance.
Usually, with L-Citrulline Malate, there is a 2:1 Ratio of Citrulline and Malic Acid (hence the Malate). At 4 g pure L-Citrulline, if Kilo Labs added the 2:1 ratio, then it would be 2.7-grams of pure L-Citrulline, which is approximately 32% less than the minimum effective dose.
Beta-Alanine – 3,200 mg
Beta-alanine has been shown to support muscular endurance and can act as a lactic acid buffer.
However, beta-alanine requires regular intake to be effective, akin to creatine. Daily supplementation of beta-alanine is recommended and there is a loading period of three to five weeks needed to be effective.
3 to 4 grams is the recommended daily dosage for beta-alanine, and 3.2-grams is the standard dose you’d typically see in pre-workouts.
Betaine Anhydrous – 3,000 mg
Betaine is included to help increase your power output. However, research is pretty inconsistent around this claim. Since the typical range for Betaine is between 1.5 g and upwards of 5 g, the 3-gram dose is a perfect amount.
HydroPrime – 2,000 mg
HydroPrime is a patented form of glycerol powder. Glycerol powder assists with hydration and allows the body to absorb more water than it usually would. This helps stave off dehydration and can have mild improvements in endurance.
HydroPrime is often included in pre-workout supplements because all of this extra water absorption can help your muscles swell up, giving you a “swole” look.
Two grams is a solid dosage of glycerol. It usually ranges from 2 to 3 grams per serving in good supplements.
One slight side-effect of glycerol is clumping inside the tub, and after just opening it, significant clumps were seen, though it mixed perfectly in the water.
