Noize pre workout is a pre workout supplement manufactured by Stax Nutrition. It’s a new high stimulant pre workout, containing 450 mg of caffeine anhydrous, 200 mg of DMHA, and 250 mg of Eria Jarensis.

Muscle Factory SC was kind enough to send me over a tub to try out and review.

The verdict?

While by no means a bad pre workout, Noize wasn’t really a standout. It delivered nice energy, but didn’t really score well in the other effects categories. With other stim junkie pre workouts available, Noize doesn’t stand out from the pack.

Still, if you’d like to try it out yourself, check it out at the link below.

Read on for more details and a full ingredient breakdown.

My Experience with Noize Pre Workout

Effects

I was somewhat disappointed with Noize pre workout, as I had higher expectations based on the ingredients label.

It absolutely delivers on energy. I mean, it’s 450 mg of caffeine! It definitely helped wake me up for early morning workouts and have a solid workout.

So what’s my gripe?

It’s hard to say, but honestly the overall experience of taking Noize felt a little flat to me. I took it several times and it always seemed just okay.

While the energy was good, I would have loved some more focus, some mood elevation, or even some aggression. Things that make Hooligan, Crack, Pre Phase, or Wrecked Extreme so special.

Instead, I really just felt the caffeine. And don’t get me wrong – I love caffeine, but for whatever reason this formula just didn’t seem to come together for me.

So, for me, Noize was a bit of a miss, but others may love it.

Side Effects

I didn’t experience any negative side effects from Noize pre workout.

Flavor

I tried the blue raspberry flavor. It’s totally fine, not bad at all.

Noize Pre Workout Ingredients Label

The Noize pre workout ingredient label is actually quite difficult to find online, so I’m happy to provide you with an exclusive look at it.

Noize Pre Workout Ingredients Label
Noize Pre Workout Ingredients Label

Beta Alanine – 3.2 g

Beta alanine has consistently shown to support muscular endurance and can act as an a lactic acid buffer. Regular intake of beta alanine is required in order to achieve these benefits, but 3.2 grams is in line with recommended dosages.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 450 mg

Caffeine anhydrous is the standard form of caffeine found in coffee, tea, and energy drinks. It’s one of the most popular drugs in the world, if not the most popular.

Acute effects include energy, focus, enhanced sports performance, and possibly even a will to live. Okay, I added that last one.

450 mg is a really high dosage of caffeine anhydrous. A lot of high stim pre workouts stop at 400 mg, with only a few others, like Hooligan or Assassin, crossing that threshold.

Choline Bitartrate – 1,000 mg

Choline is included as a focus ingredient. Compared with Alpha GPC, choline bitartrate may not be as effective as a nootropic (source). This is another potential area of improvement for the product formula.

Still, the 1,000 mg of choline bitartate will help with focus, it’s just not as well researched.

DMHA – 200 mg

DMHA is also a stimulant and is quite similar to DMAA in terms of effects, it just requires a larger dosage. This made it a popular pre workout ingredient for replacing DMAA.

Of course, nothing lasts forever and the FDA began issuing warning letters to companies that included DMHA in their products in April 2019.

200 mg is a pretty “standard” dosage for this ingredient when it is included in pre workouts.

Eria Jarensis – 250 mg

Eria Jarensis commonly appears alongside caffeine and DMHA and is said to help enhance the stimulant effects.

250 mg is a great dosage. It is usually included in amounts between 200 mg and 300 mg per serving.

L-Citrulline Malate 2:1 – 3,000 mg

L-Citrulline Malate is one of the most common pre workout ingredients. It has extensive evidence supporting its effects on increasing nitric oxide production, power output, and endurance.

The 3 gram dosage in Noize does not meet the standard 6 gram clinical dosage of l-citrulline malate. Still, Noize is clearly meant to appeal to stim junkies and I don’t think anyone is buying it for the possible pump enhancing effects. If that’s something you’re after, check out my list of the best pump pre workout supplements.

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine – 250 mg

While L-Tyrosine is a great ingredient for enhancing focus and reducing stress, NALT (N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine) is less bioavailable then pure L-Tyrosine.

Transparent Labs claims that “…the acetylation improves the absorption and effective period of L-Tyrosine…”, but Examine claims there is “limited practical evidence on NALT as an alternative to L-Tyrosine.”

250 mg is not really close to a clinical dosage for this ingredient. I’d love to see this replaced with 1 to 1.5 grams of pure L-Tyrosine.

Noopept – 10 mg

Noopept, also known as N-Phenylacetyl-L-prolyglycine ethyl ester, is a synthetic nootropic ingredient with cognitive boosting and psychostimulatory effects.

10 mg is a somewhat low dosage for noopept. I’d love to see this brought up to 30 mg.

Theobromine – 100 mg

Theobromine is a compound, structurally similar to caffeine, naturally found in dark chocolate, coffee beans, and guarana berries. It lowers blood pressure, acts as a milder, longer lasting stimulant than caffeine, and may positive impact mood (source, source).

100 mg is likely a little low for a theobromine dosage, but may still have some stimulation effects. Researched doses usually range between 200 and 400 mg (source).

Noize Pre Workout Review
3.8

Summary

Noize is a decent pre workout, but it struggles to stand out from the crowd of highly caffeinated pre workouts. It definitely delivers energy, but I think it’s missing an extra element: focus, mood elevation, or aggression, that makes the overall experience feel a bit lacking. I’m sure there will be plenty of people that enjoy this pre workout, but for me it was just okay.

Pros

  • Lots of energy
  • No side effects

Cons

  • Never felt “dialed in” with focus
  • No significant mood elevation
