Bottle Rocket Pre Workout is a nootropic pre workout supplement manufactured by Genome Project. This is an underground product that features a few unique ingredients, including tianeptine sodium, nefiracetam, and sunifram.
I tried it just once, and it’s honestly just a nootropic with some pump ingredients: no illicit feeling, no tunnel vision, no extreme energy.
Personally, I couldn’t recommend this to anyone, maybe as a high-stim nootropic, but there are far better nootropics on the market without being linked to a shady underground company or having a prop blend. Not for beginners, as it probably wouldn’t give enough focus or mood to be effective as a stepping-stone to “stim-junkie” pre-workouts.
If you’re looking for something hardcore and effective, check out our lists of stim-junkie-approved supplements:
The most controversial ingredient in this supplement is definitely tianeptine. Tianeptine is an anti-depressant used in parts of Europe, Asia, and Latin America. This ingredient can, at high dosages, lead to feelings of euphoria and well-being, but can also lead to tolerance and withdrawal if used regularly. You can read more about it on WebMD.
One thing is clear: you definitely don’t want to casually purchase this product without making sure it’s really something you want to ingest.
An up-and-coming pre-workout that contains several controversial ingredients, including tianeptine, which can elicit potentially "recreational" effects and lead to withdrawal after consistent usage.

“For the first hour I felt exactly like I did when I first took Dark Energy. It’s really nice, refreshing euphoria for the first hour.”
“Once the stims started to fade away, I started to experience a sensation that I haven’t felt in a long time. This feels like [redacted], seriously. I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. I’m all smiles when I’m on this.”
“This feels way too good.”
Him’s View was clearly a big fan of Bottle Rocket. They are predicting that this will be one of those legendary pre workouts that disappearing after 6 months and talks about it for years.

My Experience
Considering the hype behind this product, which is supposed to be the second coming of Excelsior or something, this product didn’t hit as the label suggests.
“If you want a product solely for taste, this isn’t for you. If you want to run through walls, see sounds & taste colors – this is for you. No returns based on taste will be permitted.”
I’ve had plenty of products that came close to having me run through walls, see sounds, and taste colors, but this is nowhere near it.
Effects
Within 20-30 minutes, I felt a smooth sense of energy, which lasted a decent 3-4 hours.
After about 40 minutes, I felt moderate focus, but not tunnel vision-esque. The focus lasted the entire workout.
The pumps were pretty good, nothing overly spectacular, but they got the job done.
No mood elevation.
No adverse side effects.
Flavor
For having “THIS DOESN’T TASTE GOOD. THIS DOES WORK AWESOME” on the top of the tub as a warning label of sorts, the flavor, which was Fruit Punch, was honestly tolerable.
Slight chemical taste, but nowhere near gut-wrenching bad, and I’ll tell you, I’ve had some BAD tasting products, like battery-acid levels of bad. I’d give it a 4.5 out of 10.
Other flavors include Grape and Blue Raspberry.
Scoop Size
A whole serving is 14-grams, which comes out to be a reasonably rounded, almost heaping, scoop.
Ingredients
Below you’ll find the Bottle Rocket pre workout ingredients.
L-Citrulline – 6,000 mg
Agmatine Sulfate – 1,000 mg
Bottle Rocket Energy Blend – 520 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous – 300 mg
Amp Citrate (DMBA)
DMBA is an old school stimulant that was popular prior to DMAA and DMHA.
Similar to those stimulants, DMBA is used to improve focus, motivation, and energy in the gym.
Low doses start around 75 mg and may work up to 200 mg or more.
Since DMBA is included as part of a 520 mg proprietary blend in Bottle Rocket and we also know that caffeine makes up 300 mg of that, this leaves 220 mg remaining for the DMBA, tianeptine, nefiracetam, sunifram, and yohimbine HCL.
There is probably somewhere between 75 mg and 125 mg of DMBA contained in Bottle Rocket, but it’s impossible to know for sure.

Tianeptine Sodium
Tianeptine is an antidepressant. Unsurprisingly, it’s typically used to treat major depressive disorder, as well as anxiety.
What’s most interesting is that tianeptine is an atypical agonist of the μ-opioid receptor. Activation of this receptor by an agonist can lead to a variety of side effects, including euphoria.
It is possible that this is the ingredient responsible for the unique feelings experienced by Him’s View.
Tianeptine is a schedule III controlled substance in Russia, a schedule II drug in the US state of Michigan, and a Class I controlled substance in Italy.
As an antidepressant, typical doses range from 25 mg to 37.5 mg per day. It’s impossible to say if Bottle Rocket Pre Workout contains a larger amount, but it is possible.
Nefiracetam
Nefiracetam is a nootropic cognitive enhancer that is part of the racetam class of compounds.
While additional research is needed to understand its effects on human, it is used off-label as a study drug and focus enhancer.
Toxicity at doses significantly higher than those recommended for human supplementation have been observed in dogs, but not rats or monkeys.
Daily doses for nefiracetam range from 150 mg to 450 mg, split into three doses throughout the day.
While it’s impossible to say precisely how much nefiracetam is in Bottle Rocket, it’s likely less than 150 mg and is probably closer to 50 mg.
Sunifram
Sunifram is a synthetic derivative of piracetam and is technically not classified as a racetam compound, though it is similar.
It is used as an anti-amnesiac and may hold promise as a cognitive enhancer. Additional human trials are still needed in order to better understand its effects.
No typical human dosage has been established for sunifram.
Yohimbine HCL
An up-and-coming pre-workout that contains several controversial ingredients, including tianeptine, which can elicit potentially "recreational" effects and lead to withdrawal after consistent usage.

Bottle Rocket Pre Workout Review (Genome Project)
Summary
Bottle Rocket is a pre-workout by the Genome Project. I don’t tend to give many bad reviews, but they must be wrong when they do, and this is overhyped and highly underwhelming. Decent pumps, decent energy, and a light level of focus are all that Bottle Rocket has going for it.
Pros
- Good pumps
- Good energy (lasting 3-4 hours)
- I like the addition of different and new nootropics but sadly are probably under-dosed.
Cons
-
Overhyped
-
No mood elevation
-
Very little focus.
-
The majority of stims are in an undisclosed prop-blend.
-
No information is available about the manufacturer.
-
Only 20 servings.
-
Prop blend.
